A national leader in air ambulance medical transports, Air Med helicopters fly more first response missions than any other air medical program in the country. Since 1981, Air Med has been responding to victims where access by ground ambulance is difficult or impossible, and responding to isolated offshore oil installations in the Gulf of Mexico. All aircraft are equipped with the latest diagnostic and life support medical equipment. Extensive treatment protocols include stroke care, acute coronary syndrome treatment, advanced trauma life support and rapid sequence induction using operating room procedures. Our medical staff of nationally-registered flight paramedics are also graduates of the critical care training program and ensure that our patients receive the highest standard of care.
