Our Management  | Vice President of Operations-Communications Center: Clay Henry Clay Henry, Vice President of Operations-Communications Center since 1998, began his career at Acadian in May of 1979 as a paramedic. He then served as a Communications Center dispatcher until becoming the Operations Supervisor, later the Operations Manager. Clay is a Nationally Registered Paramedic certified in ACLS. Courses completed include National Incident Management Systems, Critical Incident Stress Management, Dale Carnegie, First Response to Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Education for Living. He is a graduate of RP Class 144 and completed administration of telecommunications training with AT&T and Northern Telecom. Clay serves on the American Red Cross Acadiana Chapter's Executive Board and is a former chairman. He serves on the Lafayette Education Foundation Board of Directors and graduated from the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Lafayette program. He represents EMS on the Lafayette Parish Communications District Board. Clay graduated from Lafayette High School and attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. |  | Vice President of Operations: Christopher Cirillo Service Area: Bexar, Williamson, and Travis counties (Texas) Christopher Cirillo, Vice President of Operations and Corporate Development, oversees Acadian's holdings and day-to-day operations throughout Texas. He provides senior leadership oversight for mergers and acquisitions, competitive bid opportunities, grant procurement and other business development initiatives. Chris joined the Acadian team in 2006 after serving as a regional director for the largest publicly traded medical transportation company in the nation, where he provided leadership over three states, 3,000 employees and a budget of nearly $300 million. He received special recognition for his public service and leadership as the EMS commander for Hurricane Katrina and numerous other disasters on the Mississippi coast. A 20-year certified paramedic, Chris attended the University of South Alabama. He serves on a number of trauma prevention and public safety task force committees, the child death review team in Bexar County and is actively involved in numerous charitable projects throughout Texas. |  | Vice President of Operations: Daniel Lennie Service Area: Pointe Coupee, Ascension, Livingston, Iberville, East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, East Feliciana,Tangipahoa, and St. Tammany Parishes. (Louisiana) Jackson County (Mississippi) Dan Lennie, Vice President of Operations, has oversight of all operations in the Baton Rouge, Northshore, and Mississippi markets. He joined the Acadian team in 1972 as an Emergency Medical Technician and worked on an ambulance while attending college. Throughout his years of service, he has worked in several capacities in many departments including communications, education and training, public relations, contract services, and operations. Dan served as a commissioner on Louisiana's first Emergency Medical Services Certification Commission, as a member of the Oversight Board for Louisiana's Patient Compensation Fund, and is currently a member of Louisiana's Emergency Medical Services for Children Advisory Council. Dan received his bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and his master's degree in Health Services Administration from the University of St. Francis. He was one of the country's first 100 nationally registered paramedics and maintained that certification for 22 years. He continues to maintain RN licensure. |  | Vice President of Operations: Earl (Jerry) Romero Service Area: Lafayette, Vermilion, St. Martin, St Landry, and Iberia Parishes (Louisiana) Jerry Romero began his career at Acadian in 1977 as an EMT. He has served Acadian as a Paramedic, Dispatcher, Dispatch Supervisor, Operations Manager, and now Vice President of Operations. He is responsible for 10 parishes and counties in Louisiana and Texas. Jerry serves on the LEMU Board of Directors, and his involvement in community organizations includes serving as a Board and Executive Committee member of Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, on the Allocation Committee and as a Loaned Executive for United Way of Acadiana, as a past Event Chairman of "Be a Heartstarter" CPR training event, and as a member of the Lafayette Parish Career and Technical Education Advisory Council. Jerry served the American Heart Association as chairman of the Louisiana Advocacy Committee and as past Board Chair of the Lafayette Chapter. Jerry is a member of the Lafayette Workforce Investment Board and the Lafayette High School Health Academy Advisory Board. He graduated from Leadership Louisiana and Leadership Southwest in Lake Charles. |  | Vice President of Operations: Steven Kuiper Service Area: St. Mary, Thibodaux, Terrebonne, Assumption, St. James, Central Lafourche, St. John the Baptist, Jefferson, Orleans, and Plaquemine Parishes (Louisiana) Steve Kuiper, Vice President of Operations since 1988, began his career with Acadian in 1975 as an ambulance driver. He then moved on to management and held the position of Paramedic Field Supervisor before becoming Vice President of Operations. He is a member of GNO, Inc., the St. Bernard Parish 911 Board, the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce, and the National EMS Management Association. He was also a member of the 911 Boards for Terrebonne and St. Mary parishes. Steve has extensive experience with hospital and nursing home hurricane evacuations. He coordinated the setup of a triage station following Hurricane Katrina that accepted over 10,000 residents. He attended Louisiana State University/Alexandria. |  | Vice President of Operations: Terry J. Arceneaux Service Area: Evangeline, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Allen, Vernon, and Rapides Parish (Louisiana) Terry J. Arceneaux, Vice President of Operations, began his career at Acadian in 1973 as an ambulance medic in Lafayette, LA. He now serves the Central Louisiana area where he is responsible for daily operations and works closely with community and governmental agencies within his region. Terry is involved in community programs and has served as President of the Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana, Chairman of the March of Dimes Walk America in Acadiana, and Chairman of Shots for Tots in Central Louisiana. He has served on the boards of March of Dimes, YMCA, American Red Cross, the Rape Crisis Center, and the Alexandria Rotary Club. He is currently Chairman of the United Way of Central Louisiana, serves on the board of United Way of Louisiana, and is a member of the Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce. Terry is a deacon and Sunday school director at Calvary Baptist Church in Alexandria. |  | Vice President of Operations: Mike Burney Service Area: Orange, Jefferson, Hardin, Jasper, Newton and Sabine counties (Texas) Mike Burney oversees Acadian Ambulance Service's operations in Southeast Texas, including the new communications center in Beaumont. Mike, a 23-year veteran with Acadian, had served as operations manager in the company's communications center in Lafayette, La., for the past 10 years. He also has worked as a paramedic, dispatcher and supervisor. Mike attended the University of South Louisiana, now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he received an associate's degree in nursing. |
